When did you start working for number8?
I embarked on my journey with number8 on January 9th, 2012.
What do you do at number8?
I am the Technology Manager at number8, I oversee our organization’s technology infrastructure to ensure it aligns with our business objectives. My role involves strategic IT planning, managing our technical teams, and ensuring the efficiency of our networks and systems. I’m also responsible for cybersecurity, making sure our data and systems are protected. Additionally, I supervise various software and technology projects from start to finish, negotiate with vendors for software and hardware solutions, and stay updated on the latest tech trends to keep our company competitive. On top of all that, I draft and implement IT policies and ensure we’re compliant with any relevant regulations.
Have you had other jobs within the industry?
Yes, I’ve been a software engineer for most of my career, published computer science academic papers, and I’m currently an instructor of IoT technology.
What is your latest accomplishment or proudest moment at number8?
Through technical adjustments, I slashed a customer’s annual cloud expenses by $100,000, delivering significant savings and efficiency!
What is the most interesting project that you’ve ever been involved with in your role?
I was part of a team in charge of building large-scale loyalty program apps for several Fortune 500 companies.
What do you like most about your job?
The opportunity to sculpt the technological direction of our company, paving the way for rapid success and innovation.

What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?
I’m learning Japanese, and I find solace in retro gaming.

Despite the complexity of my professional life, I really enjoy simple food.
